Maruti sets up multi-speciality hospital in Gujarat

The hospital is expected to serve over 3.75 lakh people, including Covid-19 patients.

Maruti Suzuki has partnered with Zydus Hospitals to open a multi-speciality hospital in Sitapur, Gujarat.

The new hospital has been set up at a cost of Rs. 126 crore and completely funded by the Maruti Suzuki Foundation - a CSR initiative of the company. The hospital will be managed and operated by Ramanbhai Foundation - the CSR arm of Zydus Group.

The hospital is expected to serve over 3.75 lakh people, including Covid-19 patients, residing in Becharaji, Sitapur, Mandal, Mehsana, Patan, Viramgam and nearby districts. The facility is spread over 7.5 acres and has 50 beds at present. However, this number can be increased to 100 beds depending upon the demand.

The hospital offers services such as emergency care and trauma, advanced diagnostics, critical care for stabilisation in life-threatening conditions, mother & childcare, cardiac care, eye care, burns, ENT, internal medicine and general medicine.

The facility also has a dormitory for 160 people and 20 two-BHK flats for staff employed in the managing operations of the hospital, a gymnasium, cafeteria, shops, library and garden for the staff.
