Maruti S-Cross Premia limited edition launched at Rs. 8.99 L

Maruti Suzuki has introduced the Premia, a limited edition of the S-Cross in India. Priced at Rs. 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom), it is based on the Delta trim level of the DDiS 200 version of the crossover and comes with some additional equipment.

While the regular Delta comes with steel wheels the Premia comes with alloy wheels and a pair of fog lamps as well. The car is also equipped with a reverse parking sensor and camera and Garmin navigation system with a 12.7 cm display.

The Premia is powered by the same 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine as the standard S-Cross DDiS 200. This engine features a variable geometry turbocharger and produces 89 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @ 1,750 rpm. The car comes with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The S-Cross is sold through Maruti's Nexa dealership network. The car has not had a very favourable response and the company has been offering discounts in an attempt to boost sales. With the Premia, Maruti will be hoping to attract some more customers than it has been doing.
