Maruti Suzuki has issued a voluntary recall of the new Swift and Baleno to inspect for a possible fault in the brake vacuum hose. A total of around 52,686 cars manufactured between December 1, 2017 and March 16, 2018 have been affected.

Owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted by dealers starting May 14, 2018. The vehicles will be called in for an inspection and replacement of the faulty part, if required, will be done at no additional cost to the customer.

Customers can check if their car is among those affected by the recall by entering the chassis number (MBH followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number) on Maruti's website.
