Maruti Suzuki has announced the launch of a contest for startups called the Mobility Challenge. The carmaker has partnered with Hyderabad-based business incubator T-Hub to help growth-stage startups scale up their business.
The contest is open for startups from Series A to unicorns from India and overseas, working in the mobility space. Selected startups will get an opportunity to work with Maruti Suzuki. Each of the two winners will receive a cash prize of Rs. 10 lakh for the proof of concept.
Mature startups who have technology in digital, data and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the fields of augmented and virtual reality, autonomous mobility, automotive remote diagnostics, automotive servicing efficiency, big data analytics, electrification, internet-of-things, mobility-as-a-service and smart infrastructure will be selected for the program.
In order to further galvanize the startups, experts from Maruti Suzuki and T-Hub will provide support and mentoring in the form of knowledge sharing, investor connect and testbed.
In January 2019, Maruti Suzuki had partnered with GHV Accelerator to help accelerate the growth of budding startups. The Mobility Challenge is designed for mature or growth-stage startups.
