Maruti introduces BS-VI compliant WagonR & Swift Petrol

According to a media report, Maruti Suzuki has introduced BS-VI compliant WagonR and Swift petrol ahead of the April 1, 2020 deadline.

Reports suggest that Maruti is likely to increase the prices of these models. The prices for the Swift petrol are expected to range from Rs. 5,14,000-Rs. 8,89,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Both petrol and diesel versions of the Swift are now built to comply with "AIS-145 Safety Norms", which include ABS with EBD, driver airbag, reverse parking sensor, speed alert system, driver & co-driver seatbelt reminder and manual override for central locking system.

The prices for the WagonR 1.2L BS-VI could vary between Rs. 5,10,000-Rs. 5,91,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the WagonR 1.0L is expected cost between Rs. 4,34,000-Rs. 5,33,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Maruti has reportedly launched CNG variants of the new Alto as well. It is available in LXi and LXi(O) trims priced at Rs. 4,10,570 and Rs. 4,14,190 respectively.
