Maruti is considering an online spare parts platform

Maruti Suzuki is considering setting up an online spare parts platform.

The carmaker has set up an online survey possibly to gauge customer sentiment and also to learn about the their buying preferences.

Mahindra already has a genuine spare parts store - M2ALL.com. The website enables customers to search parts using keywords or part numbers and lists out the part's compatibility and its price. There are over 1,000 commonly purchased parts listed on the website and new items are regularly added. Like Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki could also offer warranty on the spare parts sold online.

Hyundai also has a similar online platform called Mobis where customers can buy spare parts and accessories.
