Mahindra has launched a petrol variant of the XUV500 at a price of Rs. 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will be available only with an automatic transmission and in one trim option - G AT.
The new Mahindra XUV500 G AT is powered by a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder mHawk petrol engine which produces 138 BHP and 320 Nm of peak torque. It comes equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission which has creep function and a manual mode option. The gearbox has been sourced from AISIN, Japan.
The XUV500 G AT variant gets light sensing headlamps and rain sensing wipers. Inside, the petrol variant comes fitted with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto connectivity and emergency call feature. Some of the features include 8-way adjustable driver seat, cruise control, automatic climate control among others.
As far as safety features are concerned, the G AT variant gets ABS with EBD and dual airbags as standard. Other features include, static bending lamps, logo projecting ORVMs, push button start, passive keyless entry and tyre pressure monitoring.
