Mahindra XUV 500 facelift spied with a sunroof

Mahindra will launch the facelifted version of the XUV 500 this year. Spy shots taken so far indicate that the SUV will feature a host of exterior tweaks including a new bumper, new headlights and alloy wheel design. A fresh spy shot of the XUV facelift shows the SUV with a sunroof above the first row of seats.

The test mule was spotted by MotorBeam reader Cibhi near the Bangalore highway. Mahindra has always promoted the XUV 500 as a well-equipped SUV and a sun-roof appears to have been added to spruce up the package. Media speculation also suggests the possibility of an automatic transmission being added to complement the current 6 speed manual gearbox. The XUV 500 is currently powered by the 2.2-liter mHawk140, direct injection VGT diesel engine that makes 140 BHP/330 Nm.
