Mahindra will launch the TUV300 compact SUV in India on September 10, 2015. Dealers have started accepting bookings for the car. The booking amount has been pegged at Rs. 20,000.
The TUV300 will be powered by an mHawk diesel engine and will be available in manual and automated manual transmission version.
It has a boxy design with short overhangs, five doors and a flat roof. The vehicle gets swept back headlamps, a grille with vertical slats, a spare wheel mounted on the tail gate blackened B and D-pillars, and vertically stacked tail lamp clusters. The higher variants are expected to get body-coloured door handles, ORVMS and bumpers, roof rails, rectangular front fog lamps with chrome housings, alloy wheels and a rear wiper.
On the inside, the TUV300 is likely to get a black dashboard with silver inserts. The vehicle will come in a 7-seater configuration. The top-end variant is expected to get an infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and AUX-in and USB ports.
The TUV300 is likely to come in three variants – T4, T6 and T8. All variants are expected to get features such as air-conditioning, power-steering and power windows. Here's a list of other features that can be expected on the various trim levels of the car.
