Mahindra Thar offered with Rs 1.6 lakh discount this Diwali

Mahindra is offering attractive discounts on the Thar this festive season. 3-door variants of the Thar, including the Earth Edition, are available with discounts of up to Rs 1.6 lakh.

The Thar Earth Edition gets the highest discount of Rs 1.6 lakh. Lower variants like the LX Petrol AT 2WD with Hardtop and LX Diesel MT 2WD with Hardtop get benefits of Rs 1.25 lakh, while the AX and LX trims are offered with benefits worth Rs 1.3 lakh. The AX Diesel MT 2WD with Hardtop gets the lowest amount of discounts.

The new Thar comes in two trim levels: AX (Adventure Series) and LX (Lifestyle Series), with either a soft or hardtop. The Thar is available with two engine options - a 2.0-litre petrol that produces 150 BHP and 320 Nm and a 2.2-litre diesel that makes 130 BHP and 320 Nm. Both engines are available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

In 2023, Mahindra launched the Thar RWD. The rear-wheel drive variants are also available with two engines – a 1.5-litre diesel paired with a 6-speed manual and a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
