Mahindra Thar 5-door & XUV300 facelift with sunroof spied

The updated XUV300 will lock horns with the upcoming Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet, both of which, are due to get a major makeover.

A test mule of the Mahindra Thar 5-door has been spotted yet again. The latest spy images reveal a test vehicle equipped with a sunroof, parked next to an early prototype of the XUV300 facelift.

The Thar 5-door and the updated XUV300 are expected to get a single-pane sunroof. The latter is equipped with roof rails and a roof spoiler. It also appears to have a rectangular front fascia with headlamps positioned in deep recesses on either side.

The Thar 5-door will be based on a ladder-frame chassis and will have a longer wheelbase compared to the 3-door version. Now, the launch of the Thar 5-door is still some time away, as Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director & CEO of Mahindra, revealed recently.

On the other hand, the updated XUV300 will lock horns with the upcoming Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet, both of which, are due to get a major makeover. The SUV will carry forward the same 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines as before.
