Mahindra RSA experience: XUV700 battery dies in the middle of nowhere

That trip, I managed to get the SUV's best fuel efficiency figure of 14 km/l.

BHPian Hawk recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

So, our XUV700 P AT did a remarkable feat. It gave the FE of 14 km/l. It happened due to many highways and long runs in Uttrakhand and the last long run was from Kotdwara to Noida after the trip, the MID showed FE of 14 km/l. I was too tired to take the picture then and took the picture of MID yesterday, but till then its 1st city run had started and the FE dropped to 13.6 KM/L due to heavy traffic in Noida. It was a short city run but it took down the FE figures on the MID.

I took this picture fast before the FE dropped more on the MID ( Sorry for the bad picture quality)

Tested the Mahindra RSA

Also, we got a chance to test out the Mahindra RSA services.

So what happened was that we reached my ancestral village at night at around 9 pm (anyone from Uttrakhand would know how early the sun sets). We left some lights on by mistake and after 2 days we had to go somewhere and the car was dead.

I unlocked the car manually and nothing was working. We called Mahindra RSA and they took up our call promptly.

From there they helped us out and asked if they could tow the car to the service centre if possible. We said you can't get the flatbed here as we were in the middle of nowhere and the closest Mahindra service centre was 200 km away in Dehradun.

Then they gave us the number of the Dehradun service centre and then they told us to press the horn. The horn did not honk and they told us the battery is dead.

Then from there, they gave us someone's number in Kotdwara, we called them and they asked about our location. Under 2 hours from the first call to the Mahindra RSA, 2 mechanics were there fixing our car (No money was charged).

This was a really positive and good experience as we were in the middle of nowhere where there were no mechanics in a radius of 20 km and still they could help us out. This just made us trust Mahindra more.

Till now we have faced no niggles in the car and it deserves the hype it's been getting. Kudos to Mahindra.

A parting shot (took this a few months back)
