Mahindra to launch 128 BHP XUV300 Turbo Petrol in April 2020

According to a media report, Mahindra is likely to launch the XUV300 with a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine in April 2020.

The BS6-compliant 1.2-litre turbocharged, direct-injection petrol engine is part of Mahindra's mStallion family of engines. It produces 128 BHP and 230 Nm of torque. It is expected to be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The report states that the new 1.2-litre T-GDI unit will be sold alongside the existing 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. The SUV also comes with a 1.5-litre diesel engine option.

It has been reported that Ford will also replace the 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine in the EcoSport with Mahindra's new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. It is expected to be launched in 2021.
