Lexus starts offering test drives to potential customers

Lexus has started offering test drives to potential customers in India. As per earlier reports, the brand is expected to officially make its Indian debut on March 24, 2017.

Lexus products coming to India will likely include the ES300h, RX450h and LX450d. The automaker has already started accepting bookings for the said models. While these cars will initially be brought into the country as CBUs (Completely Built Units), Lexus is also mulling to start local assembly of its cars in the future. Since Lexus' sister company - Toyota, already has a manufacturing facility in the country, starting local assembly won't require heavy investments.

The company is expected to set up a dealership in Mumbai, near the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai are next on the list of cities to get a Lexus dealership.
