Leaked! Is this the next-generation Toyota Fortuner?

The next generation Toyota Fortuner's launch may still be a while away, but spy shots continue to reveal critical details. Earlier this week, the Fortuner's front fascia was spied in the metal and revealed a major facet of the SUVs makeover. Now, computer generated images of the SUV have just been leaked and they reveal what the overall profile of the Fortuner's production version could look like.

An overview of the actual vehicle's spy image and these images, show that the SUV will have a certain sporty quality. The roofline appears to slope downward towards the back, while the door-line moves up at the C-pillar. The rear end will feature a new bumper along with redesigned tail-lights. The most prominent change however, has been seen at the front. The new Fortuner features slim, swept back headlamps, a new front grille along with a redesigned front bumper and new fog lamp enclosures. Globally, the Fortuner will be available with petrol and diesel engines, but when launched in India, the new Fortuner will continue to be offered as a diesel only. Expect both manual and automatic transmission options.

It is now clear that the new Fortuner will be significantly different from the current model. However, Toyota is also developing the next generation Innova. So, the question remains - will the SUV and MUV share similar interiors once again?
