Hyundai has recently launched the 2016 Santa Fe in the Korean market. The car gets a minor facelift and added equipment in terms of gizmos as well as safety.
The new car featurs minor changes like re-designed bumpers (both - front and rear) and front fog lamps, different ORVMs and alloy wheels as well as new tail lamps.
Some new safety kit makes its way in the new Santa Fe such as Advanced Smart Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection and Autonomous Highway Safety Driving. The car's chassis and structure too seems to have been improved, with the use of High Strength Steel.
A higher megapixels rear view camera, 360 degree view monitor, advanced parking steering support systems and JBL support systems have been added to the equipment list.
The Santa FE is available with a 2.0 and 2.2 litre diesel engine. However, in India, we get only the latter with a manual or an automatic transmission option.
It will be interesting to see which features make their way to India. Recently, Hyundai silently updated the Santa FE in India with a larger touchscreen infotainment system (link to news article).
