2016 Pajero Sport: patent images leaked

Patent renderings of the upcoming Mitsubishi Pajero Sport have been leaked. This body-on-frame SUV's design is greatly influenced by the GR-HEV concept which was revealed at the 2013 Geneva motor show.

The SUV features swept back headlamps, a horizontal grill, a re-designed air intake, new bumpers and new fog lamps. The sides have a striking similarity to the outgoing Pajero Sport. The rear of the car features a very Tata Aria-like design.

This SUV is likely to be powered by a 2.4 litre diesel engine which produces 178 BHP and 430 Nm of torque.

Earlier this year, the car had been spied doing test runs in Australia (link to news article). The global reveal of this SUV is likely to take place later this year and will go on sale in 2016 in international markets. When will this SUV make it to India is still uncertain.
