Kia sub-4 meter SUV to be launched in H2-2020

According to a statement released by Kia, the carmaker will launch a sub-4 meter SUV in the second half of 2020.

The new model (codenamed: QYI) is expected to be based on the Hyundai Venue and is likely to compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300.

The Kia QYI could also get the same powertrain options as the Venue, including the 1.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine. It could also get 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. Reports suggest that the car could be offered with multiple automatic transmission options.
