Kia Sonet teased in new video ahead of reveal

Kia has released a teaser video of the Sonet ahead of the car's official unveiling that is scheduled for August 7, 2020.

The video reveals the Sonet's headlights and tail lights. The sub-4 meter SUV gets slim wraparound tail lamps with a reflector strip in between and headlamps with LED daytime running lights. The car also gets roof rails and a shark fin antenna.

The Sonet shares its platform with the Hyundai Venue. It could also get the same engine options as the Venue. These include a 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. Transmission options might include a 6-speed manual, 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and a 6-speed iMT with an automated clutch.
