Kawasaki has launched the Ninja 650 KRT Edition in India. The bike is priced at Rs. 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The Ninja 650 is based around a trellis frame. The overall length of the bike is 2,115 mm and it measures 740 mm in width and 1,135 mm in height. The wheelbase is 1,410 mm and the seat height is 790 mm. The Ninja 650 weighs 196 kg and comes with a 15-litre fuel tank.
The KRT Edition is available in a Lime Green colour with new graphics inspired by the Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT). Apart from the cosmetic changes, the bike is essentially the same as the standard Ninja 650.
It uses a 649cc, parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 67 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 65.7 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. It comes with a 41-mm telescopic type front fork and a monoshock rear suspension. Brakes come in the form of twin 300-mm semi-floating petal discs with dual-piston calipers in the front and a single 220-mm disc with a single piston caliper setup in the rear.
The Ninja 650 KRT Edition will be available at Kawasaki dealerships from mid-November onwards.
