Kawasaki India delivers bikes to aggrieved SNK customers

In a move that will likely reinstate customer confidence in the brand, Kawasaki India has delivered bikes to all aggrieved customers who were duped by the company's official dealership in Navi Mumbai. 13 affected customers were given their bikes during an event in Pune.

Reports about the fraud came to light around August this year, when various customers informed Kawasaki that despite them paying the full amount over 90 days before hand, SNK Palm Beach (authorized Kawasaki dealer) had not delivered their bikes. Refund requests to the dealership were not entertained either. In case of customers who had financed their bikes, even the EMIs had commenced, but there was still no sign of the bike. The affected bikers had also filed a case against India Kawasaki Motors and SNK Palm Beach over fraudulent charges.

When contacted, Kawasaki had earlier mentioned that since they haven’t received the amount from the dealer, the bikes cannot be delivered. Eventually, Kawasaki India terminated the dealer and issued a public notice as well.

But by finally delivering bikes to the aggrieved customers, Kawasaki surely has taken the right step forward. This will not only make the 13 customers happy, but will also enhance brand confidence in potential as well as existing customers.

The affected customers have now withdrawn their cases filed against India Kawasaki Motor. The automaker has also indicated its plans to take legal action against the terminated dealership. A new dealer for the Navi Mumbai territory will soon be announced.
