Jeep Compass 2WD Diesel Automatic variants launched at Rs 24 lakh

Besides the updated Compass line-up, Jeep has also introduced the Meridian Overland Edition.

The Jeep Compass Diesel 4x2 is now available with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Prices for the new 2WD Diesel AT variants start at Rs 23.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The MY2024 Compass is available in five variants: Sport, Longitude, Longitude Plus, Limited, BlackShark and Model S. The SUV now comes with a new front grille and new design alloy wheels. The BlackShark variant includes body-colour painted roof and lower cladding, 18-inch aluminium black-gloss painted wheels, black leatherette seats with Ignite Red highlights and BlackShark badging on fenders.

On the inside, the SUV gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard, a full-colour 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a wireless smartphone charger.

The Compass carries forward the same 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine as before. It produces 168 BHP and 350 Nm and is available with a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic gearbox. Jeep claims a 0-100 km/h time of 9.8 seconds.

Jeep also claims to have re-tuned the fully independent suspension. It features a frequency damping front-and-rear-strut system and Advanced Chassis Control tech.

Besides the updated Compass line-up, Jeep also introduced the Meridian Overland Edition. The SUV gets a new grille, new design alloy wheels and copper coloured interior.
