Isuzu MU-X spotted testing in India

The Isuzu MU-X has been spotted testing on Indian roads. It is expected to replace the MU-7, which is currently on sale in the country. It may be recalled that a single prototype of the MU-X was imported into India in September this year.

The Isuzu MU-X is built on the same platform that underpins the Chevrolet Trailblazer. The design too is inspired from the Chevrolet SUV, especially when viewed from the side. Other design characteristics include an upright nose, projector headlamps, a muscular bumper, and a twin-slat chrome grille.

The interiors too are inspired from the Trailblazer. Features on offer include automatic climate control, cruise control, and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Powering the MU-X will likely be the same 3.0-litre diesel engine that powers the MU-7, which develops 161 BHP and 360 Nm of torque.

It will be competing against the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
