Isuzu launches D-Max in India at Rs. 5.99 lakh

Isuzu Motors India has launched the D-Max range of pick-up trucks in the country at prices starting from Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

The D-Max is available with two cabin options - single cab and space cab. The difference between the two is that the space cab has extended cabin space of 1.5 feet behind the seats. While the single cab can be bought with a flat deck only, the space cab comes in flat deck and arched deck variants. The vehicle can carry loads of up to 1.2 tons.

The D-Max is powered by a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder, intercooled turbocharged diesel engine that develops 134 bhp @ 3600 rpm and 294 Nm of torque @ 1800-3200 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed, manual transmission.

Isuzu has given the D-Max an independent suspension at the front and leaf springs at the rear. The truck rides on 15-inch steel wheels and has disc and drum brakes at the front and rear respectively.

Some of the features provided on the top model include tiltable power steering, power windows, central locking, air-conditioning with heater and audio system with two speakers.
