Indian Motorcycle launches 3 bikes in India

Legendary American motorcycle manufacturer, Indian Motorcycle has launched its entire range of three bikes in India. Coming to India through the CBU route, the bikes are priced between Rs. 26.5 and 33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

All three models are cruisers and powered by a Thunder Stroke 111, V-twin engine with a displacement of 111 cubic inches (1819 cc) and churning out 139 Nm of torque which is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. All bikes are equipped with features like ABS, cruise control, keyless ignition and leather seats. While the Classic and the Vintage feature tank-mounted instrument clusters, the Chieftain has its cluster mounted on the fairing. Additionally the Chieftain also gets a 100w stereo system with AM/FM, bluetooth and Smartphone compatibility.

The bikes are available in three colours, Thunder Black, Indian Motorcycle Red and Springfield Blue.

  • Indian Chief Classic – cruiser, Rs. 26.5 lakh (ex-showroom,Delhi)
  • Indian Chief Vintage – soft bagger, Rs. 29.5 lakh (ex-showroom,Delhi)
  • Indian Chieftain – faired hard bagger, Rs. 33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)

Indian Motorcycle will pit its bikes against offerings from other iconic manufacturers like Harley-Davidson and Triumph.
