Hyundai Tucson gets panoramic sunroof & wireless charging

Hyundai has reportedly introduced a new GL(O) variant of the Tucson, which comes with a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging and Auto Link features. It costs about Rs. 74,000 more than the GL variant. These features are also available in GLS trim.

In addition to the newly added features, the GL(O) variant is expected to get automatic projector headlamps with LED DRLs, front and rear fog lamps, ORVMs with turn signals and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. On the inside, it could get dual-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents, 10-way power adjustable driver seat, cruise control and an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity as well as a multi-function steering wheel.

The Tucson is offered with a choice of two engines - a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol which makes 153 BHP @ 6,200 rpm and 192 Nm of torque @ 4,000 rpm. The 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit puts out 182 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm @ 1,750-2,750 rpm. Both engines are offered with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is only available on the diesel version.

The Hyundai Tucson comes with safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child safety seat anchors as standard. The GL variant gets ESC, Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill Start Assist, Downhill Brake Control, Brake Assist and front side and curtain airbags.
