Hyundai Staria: Engine specs & feature highlights revealed

Select variants will get seats that automatically adjust based on a person's body weight.

Last month, Hyundai gave us a sneak preview of the upcoming Staria MPV. Now, the carmaker has revealed more details of the car including its technical specifications and feature highlights.

The Hyundai Staria measures 5,253 mm in length, 1,997 mm in width and 1,990 mm in height. This makes it longer, wider and taller than the Kia Carnival that is currently on sale in India.

The Staria will be offered with multiple seating options. Select variants will get seats that automatically adjust based on a person's body weight. The car will come with in-cabin speakers to enable the driver to communicate with rear-seat passengers.

The Staria will also get a cargo variant offering up to 5,000 litres of cargo space.

The Staria will be offered with two engine options that are shared with the next-gen Carnival. These include a 2.2-litre diesel making 197 BHP and a 3.5-litre, V6 petrol engine churning out 268 BHP. Both engines will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, while the diesel will get a 6-speed manual option.

In terms of safety features, the Staria will be equipped with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, ESC, forward collision avoidance assist, blind-spot collision avoidance assist and rear occupant alert.
