Hyundai Kona N with 276 BHP unveiled

The Kona N is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that is mated to an 8-speed DCT.

Hyundai has taken the wraps off the Kona N. It is the first high-performance crossover to join the Dynamic N range of cars.

As expected, the Kona N features an aggressive front fascia with slim LED daytime running lights. It has a sporty rear bumper with twin exhausts and a roof spoiler. The body kit is accentuated by red highlights and 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in low profile tyres. The Kona N has a wider track compared to the standard model.

The interior of the Kona N is an all-black affair. It gets the N-exclusive sport steering wheel with two customisable N buttons. It also gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster with head-up display and sports seats with Alcantara upholstery.

The Kona N is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that produces 276 BHP and 392 Nm. The engine is hooked up to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with three gearbox modes - N Power Shift, N Grin and N Track Sense.

Hyundai claims that the Kona N can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and has a top speed of 240 km/h. The car comes with launch control and variable exhaust valves.
