The official launch of the Hyundai Alcazar has been scheduled for June 18, 2021. Dealerships have already started accepting bookings for a token amount of Rs. 25,000.
The Alcazar is based on the Creta and will be offered in 6-seat and 7-seat configurations. The 6-seater version gets captain seats in the second row as well as reclining rear seats. The SUV comes equipped with features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, wireless charging and automatic climate control to name a few.
The Alcazar is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 157 BHP / 192 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that puts out 113 BHP / 250 Nm. Both engines are offered with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The car comes with three drive modes - Comfort, Eco and Sport, as well as three traction modes - Snow, Sand, and Mud.
The Hyundai Alcazar will compete with the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and the likes in the Indian market.
