Hyundai has revealed more details of the upcoming Alcazar 7-seater SUV.
The Alcazar shares its underpinnings with the Creta. The SUV's front fascia looks similar to the 5-seater version, but that's where the similarities end. The SUV is longer than the Creta by 30 mm. At 2,760 mm, its wheelbase is also longer by 20 mm.
Hyundai has made some changes to the suspension setup of the car. It gets a hydraulic rebound stopper in the front strut. This is claimed to improve rebound control and offer a better ride, while the upright rear shock absorber is said to improve body control. The SUV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Alcazar is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 157 BHP and 192 Nm. Hyundai claims that this car can achieve a sub-10 second 0-100 km/h time. The car also comes with a 1.5-litre diesel engine that puts out 113 BHP and 250 Nm. Both engines will be offered with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
On the inside, the Alcazar features 3-rows of seats with black / brown upholstery and a familiar dashboard design. The car comes in 6-seater (captain seats in 2nd row) and 7-seater configurations. The rear seats can recline or be folded flat for extra luggage space.
