Honda has released a teaser of an upcoming adventure bike on its social media channels. It may be recalled that in April this year, the company had trademarked the name "NX200" in India. It is likely that Honda will use the name for this bike.

The Honda NX200 is rumoured to be based on the Hornet 2.0. It is likely to be powered by the same 184.4cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine that is used in the Hornet 2.0. This engine puts out 17 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 16.1 Nm @ 6,000 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The video, reveals that the bike comes with a tall windscreen, LED headlamp and knuckle guards with integrated turn indicators. The bike is also expected to get a long-travel suspension setup, dual-purpose tyres, raised handlebars, a revised footpeg position and a luggage rack.

The Honda NX200 is expected to rival the Hero Xpulse 200 in the Indian market.
