Honda Prologue to be the brand's first all-electric SUV

In addition to the prologue EV, Honda has confirmed an all-electric Acura SUV in 2024 as well.

Honda has announced that its first all-electric SUV will be called the Prologue. The new mass-market electric SUV is expected to go on sale initially in North America, sometime in 2024.

The Honda Prologue is said to be the first of many volume BEV offerings from the Japanese brand. The Prologue is said to kick start Honda's transition to an EV-only brand in the American market. This is in line with the company's recent announcement of offering an EV-only lineup globally by 2040.

While details of the upcoming Honda Prologue electric SUV are scarce, it is expected to feature a bunch of equipment and technology. The Prologue is said to use the Ultium batteries from General Motors, while also featuring a flexible global EV platform.

In addition to the prologue EV, Honda has confirmed an all-electric Acura SUV in 2024 as well. The new Acura electric SUV will also feature the Ultium battery packs from GM and the same EV platform as the Prologue.
