A camouflaged test mule of the Honda HR-V has been spotted in India. The SUV is likely to be launched later this year.

The test mule has wraparound tail lights, a roof spoiler with an integrated high-mounted stop lamp and a shark fin antenna. The rear bumper has a pair of reflectors and a single exhaust tip. The Honda HR-V has a coupe-like roofline and flared wheel arches. The door handles for the rear doors are placed on the C-pillar. This particular test mule is riding on 5-spoke alloy wheels.

In India, the Honda HR-V could be offered with a 1.8-litre petrol engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). This could be the same combination offered on the new Civic. Moreover, whether the HR-V will get a diesel engine option remains to be seen.

It has been reported that the Honda HR-V was displayed to dealers in Delhi in April 2019 and its pricing could be similar to that of the Civic.
