Honda CBR 650F spotted at Buddh International Circuit

Japanese two-wheeler major Honda, is gearing up to launch the CBR 650F motorcycle in India. While the launch is not expected to be before July 2015, the bike has been spotted doing laps at the Buddh International Circuit.

The Honda CBR 650F was displayed at the 2014 Auto Expo. It is a fully-faired bike with a telescopic fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The CBR 650F is powered by a 649cc, inline 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that develops 86 BHP @ 11,000 rpm and 63 Nm of torque @ 8,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Stopping power comes from 320 mm dual disc brakes at the front and a single 240 mm disc brake at the rear. The bike also gets an underbelly exhaust and a saree guard.

The CBR 650F will be one of the fifteen products that Honda plans to launch in the country this year. The company is planning to start assembly of the motorcycle at its facility in Manesar, Haryana in the next two months. The bike will be sold through a Shop-In-Shop distribution format across 20 priority cities in India.
