The Honda Benly e electric scooter has been spotted testing at the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Pune.

The Benly e is a quirky looking electric scooter aimed at the commercial vehicle segment. It has a hexagonal headlamp that protrudes out of the front apron. The rear seat has been replaced with a flat deck that is designed to carry up to 60 kg. The front apron has a provision to attach a basket.

The Benly e features a telescopic fork at the front and has a mono-shock in the rear. It rides on a 12-inch front wheel and has a 10-inch wheel at the rear.

The electric scooter uses a 2.8 kW electric motor. The Benly e II comes with a more powerful 4.2 kW motor. Both models come with two swappable 48 V batteries that are claimed to offer up to 87 km of range on a single charge.
