Honda begins factory dispatches of the Navi

Honda has started dispatching the Navi from its factory at Tapukara, Rajasthan. The scooter-bike has registered around 1,000 bookings since it was launched at the 2016 Auto Expo at a price of Rs. 39,500/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Navi is essentially a Honda Activa, but uses an MSX Grom 125 like body style to make it look more like a motorcycle. Honda is promoting the Navi as a vehicle with no categorization, giving it a separate section on the official website as well. The Navi was entirely designed and developed by Honda India's R&D division and while it was launched last month, the availability will start in a phased manner, beginning with Mumbai.

The Navi is powered by a 109.19cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 7.8 BHP @ 7,000 rpm and 8.96 Nm of torque @ 5,500 rpm. Like the Activa, it uses an automatic (CVT) gearbox. Colour options include patriot red, shasta white, black, hopper green and sparky orange. Additionally, the Navi gets a range of customization options, such as a visor, headlamp guard, suspension covers, underguard and a luggage box.
