Hero XF3R Concept to enter production, patent images leaked

Hero MotoCorp has reportedly filed a patent for the XF3R Concept's production-version, which has been leaked on the Internet. If the bike does make it to production, it will likely become the flagship offering from Hero MotoCorp in India.

The XF3R was showcased as a design study concept at the auto expo last year. Though no official specs were revealed, the production bike is expected to be powered by a 300 cc engine. As a result, it will likely compete against the upcoming TVS Akula 310 and BMW G310R.

Major features of the XF3R Concept included upside down (USD) forks at the front, monoshock suspension at the rear, single-sided swing-arm, Pirelli Sport Demon tyres, a fully-digital instrument cluster and LED tail light. Braking setup featured a 300 mm disc at the front and 220 mm unit at the back, along with dual channel ABS. It also came with a 'Dual Map' technology, which was expected to be a ride mode selector offering two riding modes, economy-oriented and performance-oriented. It remains to be seen what all features from the concept are carried forward to the production-spec model.
