Hero HF Dawn 125 spied

A new version of the Hero HF Dawn motorcycle has been spotted. Called the Dawn 125, it is likely to be powered by the same 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is found in the Glamour. The unit produces 9 BHP and 10.30 Nm of torque and is mated to a 4-speed transmission.

The spy images suggest that like the HF Dawn 100, the 125 will get a round headlamp. It will also get a wind deflector. The fuel tank has been camouflaged, suggesting that it could be restyled. Certain parts like the tail piece and side cowl are borrowed from the Hero Glamour motorcycle.

Other features include a two-pot analogue instrument cluster, a full chain cover, a telescopic fork front suspension, dual shock absorbers at the rear and a steel luggage carrier.

The bike does not have disc brakes or alloy wheels, which indicates that Hero MotoCorp will position it as an entry-level offering. The company is likely to target rural buyers with it.
