Hyundai has started providing a driver airbag as a standard feature across all the variants of the Grand i10 hatchback and Xcent compact sedan.

The Asta variant of the Grand i10 has been discontinued. This means that the car will be available in four variants now - Era, Magna, Sportz & Asta(O). The Sportz and Asta (O) variants get a passenger airbag as well. ABS is available on the Asta (O) variant.

The Xcent is available in four variants - Base, S, SX and SX (O). ABS is available on all variants. The SX and SX (O) variants come with a passenger airbag as well.

Hyundai has also started offering a driver airbag as an option across all the variants of the Eon, apart from the base D-Lite variant. The car is available with two petrol engine options - 800cc and 1,000cc. While the former is available in five variants (D-Lite, D-Lite+, Era+, Magna+ and Sportz), the latter comes in Magna+ (O) variant only. A driver airbag comes as a standard feature exclusively on the Sportz variant.

The main rivals of the Eon are the Maruti Suzuki Alto and the Renault Kwid. Maruti Suzuki offers a driver airbag as an option on all variants of the Alto 800. Only the top-end VXi (O) variant of the Alto K10 comes with an optional driver airbag. Coming to the Renault Kwid, only the top end RXT variant is offered with an optional driver airbag.
