GM in talks with Mahindra for after-sales service

General Motors is reportedly in talks with the Mahindra Group regarding after-sales service for Chevrolet cars in India. This comes a week after General Motors officially announced that it will cease its retail operations in India by the end of this year. The same was also reported in our earlier set of speculations, ahead of GM's official exit announcement.

While announcing its exit from the country, GM had assured that it will be providing all after-sales service support to existing customers. However, no explanation was made regarding how the service network will function.

GM India's spokesperson has reportedly claimed that GM is in talks with its current dealers to keep the service centres operational, even after the automaker's exit from India. A final agreement between the automaker and its authorized dealerships is yet to be made. GM currently has 150 dealerships of its Chevrolet brand across India.
