Ford recalls 3072 units of the Fiesta Classic TDCi

Ford India has announced a recall of the previous-gen Fiesta Classic 1.4L TDCi to correct a technical issue. 3072 diesel Fiesta Classics, manufactured between October 2010 to December 2011, will be recalled to install a new design waterproof 'Glow Plug Control Module'.

Ford will be writing to customers directly, who will have to visit their local Ford dealers and get the replacement part installed free of charge.

In 2012, Ford had recalled 1.28 lakh units and in 2013, 1.66 lakh units of the Figo & Classic for issues relating to the suspension and power steering. In 2013, the EcoSport was recalled due to the positioning of the Glow Plug Control Module.
