Ford Figo Sports variant spotted at dealer stockyard

We had previously reported that Ford might introduce a special edition Sports variant of the Figo hatchback in the near future. While the company hasn't yet made an official revelation about this new variant, a set of spy shots has surfaced on the internet, showing all cosmetic changes made to the updated model.

As per these spy shots, the Figo's new variant will get some noteworthy changes on the outside. These include a new mesh grille at the front, smoked out headlights, new black alloy wheels and a dual tone colour scheme with the roof and ORVMs getting black treatment. The lower door panels and the rear bumper also get some plastic moulding.

It is not yet known whether Ford will be making some mechanical updates to the Figo Sports variant to make it a dedicated competitor to the likes of the Maruti Baleno RS and VW Polo GT twins. The regular Figo is currently available with three powertrain options - a 1.2-litre petrol MT, a 1.5-litre petrol AT and a 1.5-litre diesel MT.
