Force Motors is gearing up to launch a new variant of the Gurkha called the Gurkha Xtreme. While the official launch date is yet to be announced, brochure scans have already leaked online.
According to the brochure, the Gurkha Xtreme is based on a ladder frame chassis and will be offered in a 3-door body style. It measures 3,992 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width and 2,055 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,400 mm while the ground clearance is 205 mm. Front track width has increased by 40 mm compared to the standard model. The off-roader comes equipped with a 63.5 litre fuel tank.
In terms of styling, the Gurkha Xtreme looks similar to the Gurkha Xplorer. It has a rectangular grille with the Force logo in the centre and circular headlights. Position lamps have been placed on either side of the bonnet. The car comes with a black front bumper with integrated fog lamps and gets extruded plastic fenders. The Gurkha Xtreme also comes with a chrome snorkel. It will be available in 6 or 8 seat configurations and with a choice of hard or soft top.
Powering the Gurkha Xtreme is a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine which puts out 138 BHP @ 3,800 rpm and 321 Nm @ 1,600-2,400 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and a selective 4x4 transfer case with high and low range options.
