Fiat Punto facelift spotted without camouflage

The Fiat Punto facelift has been spotted without any camouflage.

Pictures indicate that Fiat has made a number of changes to the exterior and the interior of the car. At the front, the headlamps are inspired by the ones seen on the Avventura concept at the 2014 Auto Expo and the grille has a chrome outline and a horizontal strip running across the middle. There is a new bumper with chrome outlined fog lamp housings. The Fiat emblem has been moved up from the grille to the bonnet. On the sides we find chrome door handles and alloy wheels of a different design. At the rear, there are new tail lamps, which again seem to be inspired by the Avventura's. The bumper has been tweaked as well with larger housings for the reflectors with chrome outlines. There is a horizontal chrome stripe that runs across the bumper.

Coming to the interiors we find that the dashboard bears a striking resemblance to that of the Linea facelift and has a much more upmarket look compared to the current car. However unlike the two-tone theme that has been seen on the Linea and the test mule spotted in February, this car has an all-black interior theme.

Mechanically, the Punto facelift is likely to be identical to the current Punto. The engine range includes 1.2-litre, 68 PS and 1.4-litre, 90 PS petrol engines a 1.3-litre, MultiJet diesel, which can be had in 76 PS and 93 PS configurations. A 5-speed manual transmission is likely to be the only gearbox on offer.
