Fiat India has re-launched the Linea T-Jet, its high performance C-segment sedan with a 1.4 liter turbo petrol engine. The Linea T-Jet's turbo petrol outputs 114 Bhp-207 Nm, with the peak torque output figure being the best in class. The engine is mated to a five speed manual gearbox.
The T-Jet engine reflects the growing trend emerging in the Indian car market's sub 10 lakh rupee segment...that of turbo petrol technology making steady inroads. We had Volkswagen launch the Polo 1.2 TSI a few weeks ago and now we have Fiat re-launching the Linea T-Jet. The next few weeks will see yet another addition in this segment in the form of the Ford EcoSport. Meanwhile, Fiat India has expanded the variant line up of the Linea by adding the entry level Active variant, in line with Team-BHP's expectations. The Active variant of the Linea is well priced and has a decent amount of kit on offer.
The Active variant's pricing is aimed at bringing prospective C-segment car buyers to Fiat showrooms. All variants of the Linea T-Jet come with 3 year/100,000 Kms warranty as standard. The Linea T-Jet will be introduced across India in a phased manner with 8 major cities getting the car first. The Linea T-Jet is available for booking in the four metros and Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad & Pune. Here's a round up of what each variant offers along with the pricing.
