Ferrari California T launched in India at Rs. 3.45 crore

Earlier this year, Ferrari returned to India and announced the appointment of two new dealers. The company then went on to release the price list of its cars in the country. Now, it has launched the California T, its entry level offering.

The California T measures 4,570 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width and 1,322 mm in height. It has a retractable hard top, which Ferrari claims can be lowered in 14 seconds. The car has a 2+2 seating configuration.

In the cabin, there is a steering wheel with integrated controls and a Turbo Performance Engineer (TPE) display placed between the two air vents on the dashboard, which shows engine data. There is a second 6.5-inch screen with both, touch and conventional operations for the infotainment system. The dash and seats are trimmed in leather.

The California T is powered by a 3,855cc, turbocharged, V8 engine, which is mounted low on the chassis and in a mid-front position. The engine produces 552 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 755 Nm of torque @ 4,750 rpm. Ferrari claims that the California can touch 100 kph from a standstill in 3.6 seconds and attain a top speed of 316 kph. The manufacturer also claims that the California's emissions stand at 250 g/km.

Ferrari has equipped the California T with driver aids such as traction control and a carbon-ceramic braking system with ESP and ABS. Ferrari claims a 100-0 kph stopping distance of 34 m for the car.

The California T has been priced at Rs. 3.45 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Ferrari's new showroom is expected to be inaugurated in October 2015. It will be located at Bandra Kurla Complex and operated by Navnit Motors, the company’s authorised dealer for the city.
