FAME effect: Mahindra slashes e2o prices

Earlier this month, the Government of India launched FAME - a scheme for the adoption and manufacture of electric and hybrid vehicles. Thanks to this scheme, Mahindra Reva has started offering the e2o electric car at a reduced price.

The T2 Premium variant is now priced at Rs. 4.99 lakh and the T2O Premium + Quick2Charge at Rs. 5.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Before the price reduction, the two variants were priced at Rs. 6.77 and Rs. 7.13 lakh respectively.

The FAME incentive is applicable over and above the existing tax benefits.

The incentive is applicable in following cities:

• Delhi & NCR
• Greater Mumbai
• Kolkata
• Chennai
• Bengaluru
• Hyderabad
• Ahmedabad
• Cities with 1 Million+ population and Smart Cities as informed by the government.

Mahindra is not offering any incentives on the battery pack. The battery leasing scheme will continue at Rs. 2,999.
