Extended wheelbase Genesis G90 spied

An extended wheelbase version of the Genesis G90 luxury sedan has been caught undisguised, shortly after the sedan was revealed. The standard car already measures 5,205 mm in length and the long wheelbase version seems to be Hyundai's attempt at rivaling the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.

The Genesis G90 has so far been announced for the Korean car market and it will make its way to markets like the USA, Russia and the Middle-East. China is another market where the G90 will be launched and is incidentally a market where extended wheelbase cars are popular. Powertrain options are likely to remain the same i.e. 3.3L and 3.8L V6 petrol mills along with a 5.0L V8. The grunt is delivered to the rear wheels or all four wheels (optional) via an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

On the inside, this limousine could get features like recliner seats with massagers, a mini-fridge, footrests, and interior insignia specific to the long wheelbase model. If not Korea, the car is likely to make its debut in China.
