Experiencing the pictursque scenery of Seattle, WA during autumns

Some places the trees and leaves turn yellow, some places it’s pink and some places it becomes intensely red, almost blood red.

BHPian mobike008 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

Washington gets all 4 seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter) so we get to enjoy all these seasons. The only and possible the biggest downside of living in Washington is the relentless drizzle we get for most part of the year (at least 6-months) and grey cloudy skies that come as part and parcel of that weather. We have been often compared with the weather from London except probably it's more grey out there in London.

I have always been an outdoor guy and love to explore the natural beauty of wherever I live or visit as much as I can and leave no stones unturned to enjoy each of these seasons year-on-year as the same location looks totally different in each of the seasons.

Fall (Popularly known as Autumn in other countries) is one of my favorite season as Greater Seattle turns into a psychedelic of multiple colors wherever you go across the Washington state. Be it a drive to grocery store, or to the office or just driving around different places.

Some places the trees and leaves turn yellow, some places it’s pink and some places it becomes intensely red, almost blood red. The intensity changes depending on the locations.

Also, the colors come on early and starts from North and then moves South of the state. As we live North of Seattle, we have been experiencing this beautiful and colorful phenomenon quite early in September and now it’s moved south and most of the color are now slowly fading away. Well, they don’t fade in reality but, the leaves fall to the ground and trees are stripped of leaves and new green leaves come on.

Sharing some pictures from the regular cities in Greater Seattle. We didn’t even go to any special places (There are plenty of special farms or hiking trails where the colors are even better but, they have expensive entry tickets and/or, hiking needs lot of time and patience).

Most of these pictures are taken from behind a wheel so it's not a planned photo-shoot except from the one from yesterday (Last 2 posts in this photoblog).

According to me the best fall colors in US are in Vermont, followed by New Hampshire and then Upper Peninsula of Michigan but, the predominant fall color there is "YELLOW". Washington is unique as we have tall trees everywhere and that adds to the "quantity" of the colors. We also gets multiple colors and shades while it may not be as vibrant as the places mentioned afore.

Enjoy the 2024 Fall Edition from Greater Seattle.

P.S : All Pictures & Videos from an iPhone 15 Promax. There have been minimal to no edits except adding some contrast, brightness to a few pictures. You can click each picture to see full screen.

All these pictures are from my home location and surrounding home communities which is 200-300 meters away from home. These pictures are mostly from late September and early October. This lane next to home is my favorite place here for colors during the peak fall season and it's simply unbelievable.
