Ducati 959 Panigale now on sale at Rs 14.37 lakh

After making its Indian debut at the 2016 India Bike Week in Goa, the Ducati 959 Panigale is now available for sale at the company's Mumbai based dealership in Bandra. Prices of the 959 Panigale start from Rs 14.37 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).

The 959 Panigale has been designed after taking inspiration from the 1299 Panigale. It gets a new split-section tailpiece, refreshed air intakes, more angular rear view mirrors, and new billet-machined aluminium foot pegs.

The Italian manufacturer claims that the 959 Panigale's engine has been tuned to offer a more practical experience to the rider, especially in comparison to the 1299 Panigale. Power is supplied from a 955 cc L-twin cylinder, liquid cooled engine that develops 157 BHP @ 10,500 rpm and 107.4 Nm of torque @ 9,000 rpm. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed DQS (Ducati Quick Shift) gearbox.

The 959 Panigale rolls on Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres from Pirelli, with 120/70 profile at the front and 180/60 at the rear. These tyres are wrapped around black 10-spoke wheels, which are 3.5-inches wide at the front and 5.5-inches wide at the rear. At the front, the 959 Panigale gets a 43mm Showa Big Piston Fork, while the rear end features a laterally mounted, fully adjustable Sachs monoshock with progressive linkage.

Equipment levels on offer with the 959 Panigale include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Engine Brake Control (EBC), Full-LCD Instrument cluster, and three riding modes (Race, Sport, and Wet).

Ducati India currently has its dealerships in Delhi, Gurgaon, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Pune, and the company is aiming to add two more outlets by the end of this year.
